VECV Clocks 49.6% Rise In Sales On Strong Eicher Domestic Demand

CW Bureau ·

VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, recorded total sales of 11,396 units in September 2026, up 49.6% from 7,619 units in the same month last year.

The September 2026 sales comprised 11,146 Eicher-branded trucks and buses and 250 Volvo-branded trucks and buses.

Eicher domestic sales drive growth
Eicher-branded trucks and buses recorded sales of 11,146 units in September 2026, compared with 7,352 units in September 2025, marking a 51.6% increase.

The domestic market was the key growth driver. Eicher-branded trucks and buses registered domestic sales of 10,479 units in September 2026, compared with 6,652 units a year earlier, representing growth of 57.5%.

The domestic Eicher business accounted for nearly 92% of VECV’s total sales during the month, underlining the contribution of the Indian market to the company’s September performance.

Exports decline 4.7%
VECV’s exports stood at 667 units in September 2026, compared with 700 units in September 2025, a decline of 4.7%.

The decline in exports partly offset the strong growth in the domestic Eicher business, although exports remained a relatively small component of the company’s overall monthly volumes.

Volvo sales decline 6.4%
Volvo Trucks and Volvo Buses recorded combined sales of 250 units in September 2026, compared with 267 units in September 2025, marking a 6.4% decline.

Despite the decline in the Volvo business and exports, the sharp increase in Eicher domestic sales lifted VECV’s overall September volumes by nearly half compared with the year-ago period.
