Oswal Pumps Ltd, a vertically integrated solar pump manufacturer, has secured a ₹273.19 crore order from Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation Ltd (TGREDCO) for a 46.7 MW rooftop solar project covering 9,937 government schools across Telangana.
Project to cover 33 districts
Under the order, Oswal Pumps will design, supply, install and commission on-grid solar rooftop photovoltaic (PV) power plants with capacities of 2 kW, 5 kW and 10 kW across government schools in all 33 districts of the state.
The project has an aggregate capacity of 46,705 kW, or 46.7 MW. The scope includes Mono PERC/TOPCON solar modules, normal structures, remote monitoring system (RMS) and comprehensive maintenance for five years.
The total quoted project value is ₹273.19 crore, excluding GST.
Expands Oswal Pumps’ presence in Telangana
The order marks Oswal Pumps’ first major order from Telangana and expands its presence into a new market.
Oswal Pumps Ltd Chairman and Managing Director Vivek Gupta said the company was pleased to secure the TGREDCO order, describing the project as an important milestone in its expansion.
“This marks our first major order from Telangana and an important milestone in expanding Oswal Pumps’ presence into new markets. Being selected as the successful bidder for a programme of this scale underscores the strength of our technical and execution capabilities,” Gupta said.
He added that the company would focus on quality, timely delivery and long-term performance while contributing to Telangana’s clean energy objectives.
Building solar infrastructure in schools
The project is expected to expand renewable energy infrastructure across Telangana’s government schools while supporting the state’s broader clean energy objectives.
For Oswal Pumps, the order also broadens its project portfolio beyond solar pumping systems into large-scale rooftop solar installations for public institutions.

Oswal Pumps has more than two decades of experience in pump engineering and manufacturing and operates as a vertically integrated provider of turnkey solar pumping systems.
The company has a presence across solar-powered and grid-connected submersible and monoblock pumps, electric motors and solar modules, which are marketed under the Oswal brand.
