Eicher Trucks and Buses, a business unit of VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECV), has achieved a landmark milestone with its Eicher Pro X EV, becoming the first and fastest electric commercial vehicle to complete the grueling journey from Kashmir to Kanyakumari under fully loaded condition.
Recognized by the India Book of Records, the record-setting run covered over 4,000 kilometers in six days beginning in Srinagar on January 20, 2026, and concluding in Kanyakumari on January 26, 2026.
During this time, the Eicher Pro X EV travelled across India’s diverse terrains and climatic zones, conquering the mighty Himalayas, the vast plains, the Deccan Plateau and its ghats.
During the journey, the Eicher Pro X EV relied on a network of public chargers available to the driver through the MyEicher App. The adjudicator from India Book of Records accompanied the Eicher Pro X EV throughout the journey, verifying route compliance, loading conditions, distance covered, charging halts, and overall journey time.
