Omega Seiki Launches Vextra At ₹99,900, Enters Personal Mobility

Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) has launched its first fast-speed electric two-wheeler, OSM Vextra, priced at ₹99,900, marking the company’s strategic entry into the personal urban mobility segment. Vextra has been developed to address the growing demand for high-performance, affordable, and technology-driven electric scooters for daily commuting and professional usage. With a top speed of 70 km/h, a real-world range of 110 km per charge, and smart connectivity features, Vextra aims to make clean mobility more accessible while lowering running costs and emissions for Indian riders.

OSM’s Pan-India dealer network of 200 dealerships will be leveraged to bring the product to Tier I, II, and III cities. The launch reflects OSM’s vision to expand beyond commercial EVs into mass-market electric mobility through a product that blends affordability, speed, comfort, safety, and sustainability.

India’s electric two-wheeler industry is witnessing strong momentum, driven by rising fuel prices, urban congestion, sustainability goals, and supportive government policies. Electric scooters have emerged as the preferred choice for both personal commuters and last-mile professionals, offering low cost per kilometre and minimal maintenance. As the market shifts from low-speed to high-speed, long-range electric vehicles, customers are demanding better performance, reliability, and smarter technology. OSM’s entry with Vextra comes at a crucial time when the industry is evolving toward premium yet practical EV solutions for India’s expanding urban and semi-urban population.

Uday Narang, Founder & Chairman, OSM, said, “At Omega Seiki Mobility, our goal has always been to democratize clean mobility with products that are practical, reliable, and future-ready. With the launch of Vextra, we are entering the fast-speed two-wheeler segment with a vehicle that balances performance, range, and affordability. Vextra reflects our commitment to build technology-led electric vehicles for everyday India, not just for metros, but for Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities where efficient mobility can truly transform lives and livelihoods.”

Vextra’s key strengths lie in its superior range, strong gradient capability, and smart technology backbone. Powered by a 3.45 kWh IP67-rated LMFP battery and a 3 kW BLDC hub motor, the scooter delivers consistent performance across city roads and flyovers with a gradeability of 12 degrees. It features three riding modes – Eco, City, and Sports, enabling riders to balance efficiency and performance. Smart elements like a 3.5-inch coloured LCD cluster with real-time SOC, Distance-to-Empty, USB charging, reverse parking assist, and optional GSM connectivity ensure a modern, intuitive riding experience while maintaining a low cost per kilometer and minimal downtime with fast home charging.

Gaurav Kumar, Vice President- Strategy and Operations- 2 Wheeler Business, OSM, said, “Vextra represents our vision for the future of everyday mobility in India. It has been designed around how people really live, work, and move in our cities. By blending intelligent technology, refined comfort, and sustainable efficiency into one platform, we want to create an electric riding experience that feels effortless, dependable, and inspiring for the next generation of urban commuters and professionals.”

Vextra will be manufactured at OSM’s facility in Faridabad, with an annual production capacity of 25,000 units. Besides selling in India, the electric two-wheeler will be exported to African markets, strengthening OSM’s international footprint. Going forward, the company is preparing to expand its two-wheeler portfolio with the launch of an electric motorcycle for the Middle East and African markets, further reinforcing its commitment to global electric mobility leadership.

OSM is a leading electric mobility company focused on building clean, scalable, and technology-driven transportation solutions for India and global markets. With a strong presence in commercial EVs and now personal mobility, OSM continues to expand its product portfolio to support the green transition. The launch of  Vextra reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and customer-centric design, positioning OSM as a key player in shaping the future of urban electric mobility in India, Africa, and beyond.
