BMW Motorrad has announced the schedule for its flagship rider training initiative, the GS Experience 2026, reinforcing its commitment to nurturing adventure motorcycling culture in India. Designed exclusively for owners of BMW Motorrad’s iconic GS adventure motorcycles, the two-day immersive programme offers riders a structured and professionally guided platform to enhance their on- and off-road riding capabilities.
The GS Experience 2026 will be conducted across nine cities—Chandigarh, New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Pune, Hyderabad, Kochi and Chennai—bringing world-class rider training closer to BMW GS owners nationwide.
The programme features Level 1 and Level 2 training modules, tailored to different experience levels and engine capacities, combining expert instruction with real-world riding scenarios. For the first time, BMW Motorrad will run simultaneous training sessions on separate tracks for 20 Smart CC riders (G 310 GS) and 20 Core GS riders (650 cc and above), allowing a more focused and personalised learning experience.
Commenting on the initiative, Hardeep Singh Brar, President, BMW Group India, said the GS Experience goes beyond conventional rider training. “The GS is not just a motorcycle, it is a beacon of adventure. BMW Motorrad is redefining the spirit of adventure biking in India, and the GS Experience reflects our commitment to empowering riders to push boundaries safely and confidently. This programme is an invitation to become part of a passionate riding community, guided by our world-class BMW Motorrad International Instructor Academy trainers,” he said.
The Level 1 module focuses on building strong off-road fundamentals, helping riders understand correct riding posture, basic motorcycle handling, enduro steering techniques and essential manoeuvres. The training includes controlled off-road riding, emergency braking, slope management, riding on inclines and emergency stops. Riders who successfully complete Level 1 automatically qualify for the advanced Level 2 programme.
The Level 2 training module is designed for experienced riders seeking to master complex off-road environments. The programme emphasises advanced riding positions for balance and control across challenging terrains such as sand, gravel and slush. Participants are introduced to Enduro Pro mode, which optimises motorcycle dynamics by recalibrating ABS, traction control and power delivery for off-road conditions. Riders also practise enduro steering drills, off-camber riding, steep uphill and downhill navigation, sand and gravel control, quick U-turns, and motorcycle recovery techniques—equipping them for real-world adventure scenarios.
Each GS Experience session includes detailed briefings and live demonstrations by BMW Motorrad International Instructor Academy (IIA) certified trainers, who guide participants through the advanced technologies and capabilities of the GS motorcycle range. The programme blends riding on bitumen and off-road surfaces under expert supervision, ensuring a high standard of safety while delivering an authentic adventure riding experience.
BMW Motorrad has outlined comprehensive eligibility, safety and conduct guidelines for participants, including mandatory protective riding gear, strict adherence to instructor directions and fitness requirements. The company has also emphasised responsible riding behaviour and the importance of insurance coverage during the programme.
