JSW MG Motor India has unveiled the Majestor, positioning it as India’s first D+ SUV designed to meet the evolving aspirations of premium SUV buyers seeking commanding presence, advanced capability, and refined luxury. First showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the Majestor now takes centre stage as MG’s most rugged and premium SUV offering for the Indian market, marking a strategic step-up in the company’s portfolio.
The launch reflects a broader shift in consumer preferences, where large SUV buyers are increasingly prioritising stature, performance, and lifestyle alignment over conventional space-led value propositions. According to JSW MG Motor India MD Anurag Mehrotra, the Majestor represents MG’s vision of a true full-size SUV—one that combines uncompromising performance with sophisticated craftsmanship, intelligent technology, and long-term reliability.
Built on a massive 2,950 mm wheelbase, the Majestor stands out with segment-leading dimensions, delivering a bold and dominant road presence. Its rugged yet premium exterior design, highlighted by a distinctive Mosaic Matrix grille, Dragon Eyes DRLs, 19-inch alloy wheels, and connected LED lighting, signals MG’s intent to compete at the top end of the SUV market while retaining urban sophistication.
Inside, the Majestor focuses on comfort-led premiumisation. A black-themed interior with plush leather upholstery, ventilated and massage-enabled front seats, panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, and configurable six- or seven-seat layouts underline its positioning as both a luxury family SUV and an adventure-ready vehicle. Dual 12.3-inch digital screens, a 12-speaker JBL audio system, wireless connectivity, and over 75 iSmart connected features further reinforce its technology-forward appeal.
At its core, the Majestor is engineered for serious capability. Powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine delivering best-in-segment output, paired with an advanced 8-speed automatic transmission, the SUV is offered in both 2WD and intelligent 4WD configurations. Its advanced four-wheel-drive system, combined with segment-first front, rear, and centre differential locks, crawl control, and high water-wading capability, positions it among the most capable off-roaders in its class.
Safety remains central to the offering, with Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree HD camera, and a comprehensive suite of electronic stability and braking systems enhancing driver confidence across terrains. Pre-bookings open on February 12, 2026, with pricing and deliveries scheduled for the coming months.
