Raptee.HV has successfully completed a 7,530-kilometre all-India ride by its flagship electric motorcycle, the T30, a feat that has been officially recognised by the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records.
Completed in just 19 days, the same duration typically associated with internal combustion engine (ICE) motorcycles, this achievement is a first for India: never before has an electric motorcycle completed an all-India journey of this scale.
At the heart of this milestone is the T30’s CCS2 DC fast-charging capability, making it the only electric two-wheeler in the country compatible with the rapidly expanding public car-charging network.
By enabling access to over 40,000 public DC fast chargers nationwide, most of which are designed for electric cars, the CCS2 standard enhances the practicality of electric motorcycles. It addresses one of the most persistent barriers to EV adoption: charging convenience, particularly for long-distance travel.
The ride was completed by Baala Manikandan, an accomplished electric vehicle enthusiast who already holds two national records for electric motorcycle riding, further lending credibility to the endurance and reliability demonstrated by the T30.
Commenting on the milestone, Raptee.HV CEO and Co-founder Dinesh Arjun said the journey reinforces the company’s core product philosophy. While the T30 is engineered primarily for urban mobility, its CCS2 fast-charging capability enables confident long-distance travel, effectively redefining what electric motorcycling can achieve in India.
Built on a high-voltage powertrain architecture and designed for seamless integration with public charging infrastructure, the Raptee.HV T30 challenges the long-held notion that electric motorcycles are restricted to short, city-centric commutes. The successful all-India ride positions the T30 as a credible long-distance electric motorcycle and sets a new benchmark for performance, reliability, and usability in the segment.
Headquartered in Chennai, Raptee.HV stands out as the only startup developing electric motorcycles on an electric car-grade high-voltage platform, bringing car-level advantages in charging speed, reliability, and performance to two-wheelers. The T30 remains the only motorcycle in India equipped with the CCS2 car-charging standard, unlocking immediate access to the country’s fast-growing EV charging ecosystem.
With a workforce of 120 employees, the company has built a strong full-stack technology moat, filing 156 patents and designing 100 per cent of its electronics in-house, including PCBs for all critical subsystems. Raptee.HV operates a 4.5-acre manufacturing facility in Chennai with an installed annual capacity of 100,000 units and has secured an additional 40 acres at SIPCOT, Cheyyar, to support future expansion.
The company has raised $5 million in pre-Series A funding and is in the process of closing a $20 million Series A round through a strategic mix of debt and equity.
