Swelect Energy To Form 50:50 JV With FortifyGrid For BESS Projects

CW Bureau ·

Swelect Energy Systems Ltd has proposed entering into a strategic partnership with US-based FortifyGrid LLC to incorporate a joint venture company in India for the development and execution of Solar Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.

The proposed joint venture, which is yet to be incorporated, will have an equal shareholding structure of 50:50 between the two partners.

The JV will focus on providing integrated solutions including joint design, engineering, procurement, off-site project execution, construction management, and project controls for BESS projects.

The partnership is expected to strengthen Swelect’s positioning in the fast-growing energy storage segment, particularly as demand rises for grid-scale battery solutions integrated with solar power. The collaboration brings together Swelect’s solar expertise with FortifyGrid’s deep technical knowledge in energy storage systems and its capabilities in integrating advanced AI-driven technologies.

Swelect said the convergence of battery storage technology and artificial intelligence is expected to enhance operational efficiency and performance optimisation, positioning the brand for greater traction in overseas markets.

The joint venture aligns with Swelect’s broader strategic objective of expanding its footprint in the global BESS ecosystem and scaling up its presence in international markets.
