International logistics company Tiger Logistics has announced a strategic expansion of its Western India operations, deepening its presence in Gujarat with the appointment of a General Manager for the region.
Gujarat remains a critical hub in India’s solar supply chain, accounting for 47% of the country’s module manufacturing capacity and 49% of cell production.
Tiger Logistics already operates branches in Gandhidham and Ahmedabad, and the new leadership appointment is aimed at strengthening its position in this high-volume corridor.
The move is expected to reinforce operational discipline, enhance customer proximity, and improve on-ground responsiveness across key accounts.
The company’s renewable energy vertical, TiGreen, currently handles up to 2,000 TEUs of solar container movements per month, with a significant share of this volume originating from Gujarat-based clients.
With a strong order pipeline and continued sectoral expansion in the state, the company expects this volume to grow by 40–45% over the next year, supported by deeper regional capabilities and a strengthened leadership structure.
India’s solar manufacturers have also announced plans to build nearly 94.5 GW of additional AIMM-approved cell manufacturing capacity in the coming years.
This anticipated growth aligns with central initiatives such as the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, which has revived nationwide interest in rooftop solar adoption and is projected to drive sustained component demand and EXIM flows.
Tiger Logistics (India) CMD Harpreet Singh Malhotra said the Western India expansion is backed by clear market visibility and the rapid scale-up of solar clients in Gujarat. Enhanced leadership and operational depth in the region, he said, will ensure sharper responsiveness, tighter process control, and long-term reliability for customers.
The strengthened Gujarat operations underscore Tiger Logistics’ commitment to building a capability-led, future-ready logistics network aligned with India’s fastest-growing supply chains.
