Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), in partnership with the Indian Armed Forces, has successfully concluded the nationwide Bharat Rannbhoomi Darshan expedition, a 23-day journey commemorating India’s military heritage and honouring the valor and sacrifices of its armed forces.
The expedition culminated at the National War Memorial in the national capital, where the closing ceremony was attended by Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, alongside senior officers from the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Border Security Force (BSF), members of the civil administration, and TKM’s leadership team.
4,400-Km Tribute Across Strategic Regions
Launched on February 3 from Dwarka in Gujarat, the expedition traversed 14 cities across four states, covering over 4,400 kilometres through strategically and historically significant regions. A 32-member contingent comprising serving personnel from the Indian Army, Indian Navy, BSF, and war veterans participated in the journey, reinforcing a shared message of remembrance, national pride, and unity.
The expedition aimed to deepen public awareness of India’s military history while fostering greater appreciation for the armed forces among citizens across regions.
Hilux Fleet Powers the Journey
As the official mobility partner, TKM deployed a fleet of 15 Toyota Hilux vehicles to support the expedition. Known for their durability and advanced 4×4 capabilities, the vehicles navigated diverse terrains including desert stretches, off-road routes, and other challenging landscapes encountered during the journey.
Beyond vehicle deployment, TKM provided end-to-end service support, including spare parts availability and on-ground technical assistance to ensure seamless mobility throughout the expedition.
Experiential Engagement in Jaisalmer
As part of the initiative, TKM also organised a ‘Toyota Hilux Experiential Drive’ in Jaisalmer, offering participants a hands-on demonstration of the vehicle’s 4×4 capabilities across sand dunes. The event highlighted the Hilux’s performance and endurance in extreme conditions, aligning with the expedition’s rugged terrain requirements.
Strengthening National Connect
Throughout the journey, the expedition witnessed significant public engagement, creating opportunities for dialogue and storytelling around India’s military legacy. The final ceremony at the National War Memorial marked a solemn conclusion to the initiative, reaffirming national gratitude toward those who have served and continue to serve the country.
