Global Hospitality Company Hilton is set to introduce iconic luxury brand Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts to Goa, marking the brand’s debut on India’s storied western shoreline.
The company has signed an agreement to develop Waldorf Astoria Goa, further strengthening its luxury footprint in the country.
The upcoming property will be Hilton’s third Waldorf Astoria in India, following the earlier signings in Jaipur and New Delhi. In addition, Hilton has announced a new Conrad in Jaipur and Signia by Hilton in Jaipur, underscoring its aggressive expansion in the luxury and lifestyle segments.
With the Goa signing, Hilton’s trading and pipeline presence in the coastal State will expand to four hotels, reflecting strong confidence in the market’s domestic and international appeal and sustained demand for high-end leisure experiences.
Scheduled to open in 2030, Waldorf Astoria Goa is being developed by West Coast Hotels Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture between the Dempo Group and Triton Hotels & Resorts Pvt Ltd. The beachfront property will feature 148 elegantly designed rooms, suites and villas.
Hilton Asia Pacific President Alan Watts said the partnership expands experience-led stays in India and supports the company’s broader ambition to grow to 250 luxury and lifestyle hotels across Asia Pacific in the coming years.
Triton CMD Ratan Sharma said: “Our partnership with Hilton allows us to bring timeless elegance, impeccable service, and world-class luxury to both Indian and international guests. This is the beginning of a new chapter in luxury and our long-cherished dream.”
Dempo Group Chairman Shrinivas Dempo said: “Our partnership with Hilton reflects a shared ambition to create a thoughtfully designed beachfront destination that is rooted in Goa’s cultural and natural context while meeting the expectations of today’s luxury traveller.”
Hilton said rising affluence and growing preference for experiential travel continue to drive expansion of its luxury portfolio in India.
