IHCL Expands Tree Of Life Portfolio With AeroVillage Launch In Sahyadris

CW Bureau ·

Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) has strengthened its presence in Maharashtra’s leisure landscape with the opening of Tree of Life AeroVillage, Panheli, a boutique experiential retreat nestled in the scenic Sahyadri ranges.

Located within comfortable driving distance from both Mumbai and Pune, the 26-key resort offers an easy escape from urban life while retaining strong connectivity. In a distinctive positioning move, the property is also accessible via private charter, catering to premium leisure travellers seeking exclusivity and convenience.

Set amid rainforests, cascading waterfalls and pristine river landscapes, Tree of Life AeroVillage reflects the brand’s philosophy of curating stays in soulful, lesser-explored destinations. The resort features spacious rooms and private cottages, many equipped with plunge pools and open-air jacuzzies, blending contemporary comfort with immersive natural surroundings.

IHCL executive vice-president new businesses & hotel openings Deepika Rao said the launch reinforces the brand’s ethos of celebrating nature-led destinations. “Tree of Life is rooted in the idea of discovering soulful, lesser explored locations where nature and local culture shape the guest experience. With AeroVillage, Panheli, we bring this philosophy to the Sahyadris and continue to expand the brand into destinations that resonate with its core values,” she said.

The culinary experience is anchored by The Hangar, the resort’s all-day dining venue offering sweeping views of the surrounding hills, complemented by a bar and café-style poolside service. Guests can also opt for bespoke private dining with chef-curated menus, tailored for celebrations and special occasions.

Apart from leisure travellers, the property is designed to attract intimate corporate offsites and curated gatherings. A private theatre enables personalised screenings, while versatile indoor and outdoor event spaces provide options for meetings and milestone celebrations. A scenic nine-hole golf course with a central putting zone adds a distinctive recreational element, positioning the resort as a niche getaway for both relaxation and experiential corporate retreats.

With this opening, IHCL continues to strengthen its footprint in experiential hospitality, aligning with the growing demand for high-end, nature-integrated getaways within close proximity to major urban centres.
