Leading hospitality company Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd has announced the signing of a new hotel in Akola, Maharashtra, further strengthening its footprint in one of India’s most economically active states.
With this addition, the company’s Maharashtra portfolio rises to 28 hotels, including 15 operational properties and 13 in the pipeline. The upcoming property will be managed by Carnation Hotels Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels.
Located in the Vidarbha region, Akola is a key commercial and agricultural hub, known for its cotton production and robust trading ecosystem. The city has been witnessing steady regional development, driven by infrastructure expansion and rising business activity.
Branded as Keys Prima by Lemon Tree Hotels, the property will feature 55 rooms, a restaurant, banquet hall and conference room, along with recreational facilities including a fitness centre, swimming pool and spa.
The hotel is situated about 265 km from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport and 4.4 km from Akola Junction railway station, providing convenient access for corporate and trade travellers.
Lemon Tree Hotels CEO – Managed & Franchise Business Vilas Pawar said Akola’s growing commercial relevance within Vidarbha makes it a strategic addition to the company’s Maharashtra portfolio, as business activity expands beyond the state’s primary metros.
The signing underscores Lemon Tree Hotels continued focus on expanding across Maharashtra’s emerging growth corridors in line with evolving regional and business travel demand.
