JSW MG Gains Speed With 24% Growth, Bets Big On Majestor

JSW MG Motor India has posted a robust 24% year-on-year increase in wholesale volumes in February 2926, showing steady consumer traction across both its internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) portfolios.

The company dispatched 4,957 units during the month, reflecting sustained demand momentum amid a competitive automotive landscape. The performance highlights the brand’s expanding footprint in India’s evolving passenger vehicle market.

Majestor Marks Entry into D+ SUV Space

A key highlight of the month was the introduction of the Majestor, positioned by the company as India’s first D+ SUV. Designed to redefine the premium SUV segment, the Majestor stands out with what the company claims are the longest, widest, and tallest dimensions in its category, an attempt to blend road presence with enhanced cabin space.

The Majestor is engineered with serious off-road credentials. It features first-in-segment triple differential locks, front, rear, and centre, paired with an advanced four-wheel-drive (4WD) system. The SUV also comes equipped with 10 dedicated off-road modes and a crawl control function aimed at delivering superior traction and control across challenging terrains. This positions the vehicle not merely as a lifestyle SUV, but as a capability-focused offering targeting enthusiasts and premium buyers seeking rugged performance.

Strengthening Ownership Value Proposition

The Majestor is offered under MG’s “Complete Peace of Mind” programme, which includes an industry-leading 5-5-5 package—five years of unlimited kilometre warranty, five years of roadside assistance, and five labour-free services.

Such bundled after-sales assurances are increasingly becoming a differentiator in the premium SUV segment, where long-term cost predictability and reliability are critical purchase drivers.

Customers can pre-book the Majestor at a token amount of ₹41,000, signalling the company’s confidence in generating strong early interest ahead of full-scale deliveries.
