Ramky Infrastructure has secured a major engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) mandate worth ₹1,401.84 crore from Maharashtra Industrial Township Ltd (MITL) for developing core infrastructure in Phase 1 of the Dighi Port Industrial Area (DPIA), part of the ambitious Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC).
The contract, inclusive of GST and operations and maintenance (O&M) revenues, underlines Ramky’s growing role in large-format industrial infrastructure projects. The project is to be completed within 930 days from the appointed date, followed by a four-year performance-based O&M period from the date of commissioning (COD), extendable upon mutual agreement.
MITL is a special purpose vehicle formed with equity participation from the Government of India and the Government of Maharashtra to develop Parcel B of DPIA in Raigad district. The industrial zone is positioned as a strategic node within the DMIC framework, aimed at enhancing manufacturing competitiveness and logistics efficiency along India’s western corridor.
End-to-End Infrastructure Development
The scope of work covers comprehensive infrastructure delivery, from design and engineering to construction, testing, commissioning and performance-based operations. The package includes:
- Roads and allied structures
- Stormwater drainage systems
- Water treatment and distribution networks
- Sewerage and recycled water systems
- Power distribution infrastructure
- Utility ducts for ICT and related services
Ramky Infrastructure will execute the project using its in-house engineering, planning and commissioning capabilities, supported by standardised monitoring systems and delivery controls. The company has integrated operations preparedness into its execution roadmap to enable a seamless transition from commissioning to long-term performance management.
Strengthening Industrial Readiness
Ramky Infrastructure CEO Sunil Nair said the Letter of Award (LoA) aligns with the company’s execution-led strategy focused on selective, large-scale opportunities where lifecycle accountability and engineering depth are critical.
He noted that DPIA is a high-importance industrial corridor project and emphasized that Ramky’s internal delivery systems will ensure predictable commissioning and performance outcomes, supported by the embedded four-year O&M commitment.
Once completed, the infrastructure is expected to significantly enhance industrial readiness at Dighi by ensuring reliable utilities and streamlined on-ground operations for businesses setting up in the region.
