Apollo Tyres To Unveil Vredestein Quatrac Pro 2 All-Season Tyre

Apollo Tyres Ltd has announced that its new Vredestein Quatrac Pro 2 ultra-high-performance all-season tyre, scheduled for launch across Europe this summer, will feature a distinctive sidewall design developed in collaboration with Italdesign, the Italian design, engineering and prototyping company.

Developed, engineered and manufactured in Europe by Apollo Tyres, the Quatrac Pro 2 features an all-new structure, innovative materials and an advanced directional tread design aimed at delivering top-tier performance in the fast-growing all-season tyre segment, the tyre major said in a social media post.

The tyre’s advanced technical capability is expressed visually through a striking sidewall design that reinforces the Vredestein brand’s premium positioning.

The Italdesign and Vredestein teams created the sidewall around a theme titled ‘Passage’, depicting the seasons as a seamless interplay of solids and voids. Fluid graphical elements evoke natural motifs such as leaves, snow and rain, reflecting the tyre’s ability to perform across varying weather conditions.

The design represents the cyclical nature of the seasons and the idea of movement and transition—from hot, dry landscapes to snow-covered roads. Visual cues such as ripples on water, wind patterns and dynamic motion reference the tyre’s all-season capabilities.

Industrial Design Team Leader Enrico Lago, Italdesign, said the ‘Passage’ theme represents a continuous path where each season forms a distinct yet interconnected stage.

“Much like when we design a car, we see the sidewall of a Vredestein tyre as a blank canvas to bring character to a high-performance product. We have enjoyed more than 25 years of close collaboration with the Vredestein brand, and the insights gained from each project have laid the foundation for the next,” he said.

The Quatrac Pro 2 strengthens the long-standing collaboration between Apollo Tyres and Italdesign, which spans more than 27 years. Earlier joint projects include the Vredestein Sportrac launched in 1999 and the Ultrac Pro introduced in 2024.

Apollo Tyres Group Head – Marketing Udyan Ghai said the new tyre combines advanced engineering with expressive design.

“The tyre balances advanced engineering with expressive design, reinforcing the Vredestein brand’s reputation for innovation and style,” he said.

Research conducted by Apollo Tyres indicates strong consumer interest in tyre aesthetics, with a significant proportion of driving enthusiasts across Europe valuing design alongside performance. According to the study, 43% of respondents agreed with the statement that tyres often look “boring” and expressed interest in more distinctive sidewall designs.

The Quatrac Pro 2 is suitable for sportscars, supercars and high-performance saloons, hatchbacks and SUVs. It will be available across Europe from summer 2026 in a range of popular sizes.

The tyre is also engineered for compatibility with modern hybrid and battery electric vehicles, offering low noise levels, reduced rolling resistance and a robust structure to handle the higher weight of electrified vehicles.

The Vredestein brand has been a pioneer in the all-season tyre segment since the early 1990s and today offers one of the broadest ranges of all-season tyres in the market.
