Lemon Tree Hotels Signs New Property In Barog, Expands In HP

Leading hospitality company Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd has expanded its footprint in Himachal Pradesh by signing a new 49-room hotel in Barog, taking its total pipeline in the State to 10 properties.

The hotel will be managed by Carnation Hotels Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels and its aligns with the company’s goal of expanding thoughtfully into emerging leisure micro-markets in North India.

With this signing, Lemon Tree Hotels will have four operational hotels in Himachal Pradesh, while six additional properties, including the Barog hotel, are under development.

Lemon Tree Hotels Managing Director Neelendra Singh said Himachal Pradesh continues to remain a strong leisure market with growing demand for branded hospitality in scenic destinations. Barog’s proximity to Chandigarh and its appeal as a peaceful hill retreat make it an attractive addition to the company’s portfolio.

Located along the historic Kalka–Shimla route, Barog has steadily gained popularity among leisure travellers seeking weekend getaways and experiential stays within driving distance of North India’s major cities.

The upcoming hotel will feature 49 well-appointed rooms along with a restaurant, banquet hall, meeting room, spa, swimming pool and fitness centre. The property is being designed to cater to leisure travellers, destination events and intimate corporate offsites.

The hotel will also benefit from strong connectivity. It is located about 64 km from Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport in Chandigarh, 53 km from Chandigarh Railway Station and around 32 km from Kalka Railway Station, ensuring convenient access for both regional and interstate travellers.
