Drive Without Worry: MG Majestor Gets 5-5-5 Ownership Shield

JSW MG Motor India has rolled out a new long-term ownership initiative for its upcoming flagship SUV, the Majestor, introducing what it calls the ‘5-5-5 ownership programme’ aimed at delivering a hassle-free ownership experience for customers in the premium SUV segment.

The initiative comes as the automaker prepares to launch the Majestor, positioned as India’s first D+ segment SUV, in a market where buyers are increasingly investing in vehicles that combine size, performance, advanced technology and long-term reliability. With the new programme, the company is attempting to reduce ownership uncertainty by bundling multiple customer benefits into a single, standard offering.

Unlike traditional extended warranties or optional service packages that customers typically purchase separately, the 5-5-5 programme integrates three core benefits for Majestor buyers: a five-year unlimited-kilometre warranty, five years of roadside assistance with no distance cap, and five labour-free services. Together, the package is designed to provide customers with predictable running costs and comprehensive nationwide support from the beginning of their ownership journey.

For customers who frequently travel long distances or use their SUVs in demanding conditions, such as off-road environments, the programme offers added reassurance. The unlimited-kilometre warranty ensures that high-mileage users are not restricted by standard kilometre limits, while nationwide roadside assistance provides breakdown support for five years regardless of distance travelled.

According to JSW MG Motor India chief commercial officer Vinay Raina, the programme reflects the company’s broader strategy of pairing strong product engineering with customer-centric ownership benefits.

Under the hood, the Majestor is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing 215.5 PS of power and 478.5 Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission available in both two-wheel-drive and advanced four-wheel-drive configurations. The SUV has been engineered to deliver high levels of off-road capability while maintaining comfort and refinement expected from a full-size premium vehicle.

The Majestor also integrates advanced safety technologies. As India’s first D+ SUV equipped with Level-2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), the vehicle combines rugged capability with intelligent safety features designed to support drivers in complex road environments.

The 5-5-5 programme complements these engineering features by addressing a key concern among buyers of high-end SUVs, the long-term ownership costs and service reliability. By bundling warranty, roadside support and service benefits into a single package, the company aims to strengthen customer confidence and differentiate the Majestor in the competitive premium SUV market.

Pre-reservations for the Majestor have already begun, with customers able to secure early bookings by paying ₹41,000 through the company’s official website. The SUV is expected to reach showrooms for display and test drives in April 2026, while customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in May 2026.
