California-based Oxmiq Labs has announced a strategic technology partnership with AM Intelligence Labs (AMI Labs), a business division of AM Group, to provide data centre and system infrastructure advisory for a massive 2-gigawatt (GW) AI compute platform planned by 2030.
The collaboration will begin with the development of an initial 1GW AI compute hub in Noida, positioning India as a major global destination for large-scale artificial intelligence infrastructure.
Building AI Compute Platforms
AM Group has already commenced development of its flagship AI infrastructure initiative, with Phase-1 of the Noida compute hub currently under execution. The project aims to bring the first tranche of compute capacity online by the end of 2027.
Once operational, the platform is expected to become one of the world’s largest renewable-powered AI compute infrastructures, combining advanced computing systems with large-scale carbon-free power generation.
Under the partnership, Oxmiq Labs will serve as the architecture and engineering partner, supporting AMI Labs in designing the systems architecture, hardware roadmap and supply chain strategy that will power the facility.
Vertically Integrated AI Infrastructure
The Noida hub is being designed as a fully vertically integrated AI platform, spanning carbon-free energy generation, advanced data centre infrastructure, high-performance accelerators besides a complete software stack and AI applications and flexible consumption models
The platform will offer services ranging from AI Pods-as-a-Service to Tokens-as-a-Service, enabling enterprises and developers to access scalable AI computing resources.
Oxmiq’s role will include optimizing the entire compute stack, from GPU architecture and advanced packaging to rack-scale systems, high-performance interconnects and orchestration software needed to run AI workloads at massive scale.
Renewable Energy Advantage
AM Group’s energy backbone is supported by Greenko Group, one of India’s largest renewable energy producers.
Its energy generation and storage operations are managed through Greenko Energy Holdings, which operates a 12GW energy infrastructure platform across more than 20 states, with plans to expand to 50GW by 2030.
Greenko is also building what it describes as the world’s first interconnected energy storage system with 100GWh capacity, enabling the AI compute hub to operate on reliable, carbon-free power priced significantly lower than conventional data center electricity costs.
AM Group chairman Anil Chalamalasetty said the partnership would help build globally competitive AI infrastructure.
