BYD India, a subsidiary of global NEV leader BYD, has announced the commencement of bookings for the Sealion 7 first anniversary edition in India, marking a milestone for its flagship electric performance SUV. Bookings open from March 17, 2026, with a token amount of ₹70,000 across dealerships nationwide.
The Sealion 7 first anniversary edition is offered in two variants. The Premium (82.56 kWh) is priced at ₹49.40 lakh (ex-showroom) while the Performance (82.56 kWh) at ₹54.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
Exclusive Benefits For Early Customers
As part of the anniversary offer, the first 1,100 customers will receive a host of benefits, including a complimentary 11 kW home charger with installation and two years of free service and maintenance.
Additionally, the model features a first-in-class low voltage battery (LVB) based on lithium iron phosphate (LFP) technology, backed by an extended 8-year/150,000 km warranty, compared to the standard 6-year coverage. The high voltage battery continues to be offered with an 8-year/160,000 km warranty, underlining BYD’s focus on reliability and long-term ownership value. These offers are valid for bookings made until April 30, 2026.

Strong Market Response And Performance Credentials
Since its debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, the Sealion 7 has garnered strong traction in the Indian market, with over 2,500 units sold, emerging as one of the best-selling models in the premium electric SUV category.
The vehicle is powered by an 82.56 kWh Blade Battery and incorporates BYD’s proprietary technologies such as Intelligence Torque Adaptation Control (iTAC) and Cell-to-Body (CTB) architecture, enhancing safety, structural rigidity, and driving dynamics.
In terms of performance, the SUV delivers a 0–100 km/h acceleration of 4.5 seconds in the Performance variant and 6.7 seconds in the Premium variant. It offers a driving range of up to 542 km (Performance) and 567 km (Premium) on the NEDC cycle.
