Navi Enters Motor Insurance With Digi-First, Zero-Commission Service

CW Bureau ·

Digital-first financial services company Navi has forayed into the motor insurance segment with the launch of a fully digital, zero-commission product, marking a significant expansion of its insurance portfolio and reinforcing its focus on customer-first financial solutions.

Fully Digital, App-Led Insurance Experience

With this launch, Navi General Insurance Ltd aims to simplify the purchase and management of motor insurance through a seamless, app-based journey. Customers can now buy comprehensive, own-damage, or third-party policies for cars and two-wheelers directly via the Navi app, with instant policy issuance, transparent pricing, and a frictionless experience.

Zero-Commission Model to Drive Affordability

In contrast to the traditional motor insurance market, largely driven by agents and dealer-led distribution, Navi’s direct-to-customer model eliminates intermediary commissions. This allows the company to pass on cost efficiencies to customers, making policies more affordable while enhancing transparency.

The zero-commission approach forms a core part of Navi’s strategy to build technology-led insurance products that prioritise accessibility and simplicity.

Expanding Digital Insurance Ecosystem

The entry into motor insurance aligns with Navi’s broader ambition to create a comprehensive, digital-first insurance platform, offering multiple protection products within a unified ecosystem.

With rising vehicle ownership and increasing digital adoption in India, the company is targeting a new generation of consumers who prefer convenient, app-based policy purchase and claims experiences.

Navi General Insurance MD & CEO, Vaibhav Goyal, said, “As a digital-first, direct-to-customer insurer, we are cutting out commissions entirely, thus passing those savings directly to customers through competitive pricing. Simplifying finance for every Indian is at the heart of what we do at Navi, and with motor insurance, we’re extending that promise to a product that touches millions of vehicle owners every year.”

Now Live Across India

The motor insurance offering is now live on the Navi app and available to customers across India, marking another step in the company’s journey to build accessible, technology-driven financial services at scale.
