OneOTT Intertainment Ltd. (OIL), the broadband arm of Hinduja Global Solutions Ltd. (HGS), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Uttar Pradesh government’s Employment Department to skill one lakh youth across the state.

The partnership aims to enhance youth employability by aligning skill development initiatives with industry requirements and expanding access to opportunities in the digital economy. The MoU was signed by Labour and Employment Principal Secretary M. K. Shanmugha Sundaram and OIL Managing Director and CEO Vynsley Fernandes.

Under the agreement, OIL will design and implement capacity-building programmes, including skill training workshops, structured learning initiatives and knowledge-sharing platforms tailored for the state’s youth. The company will also provide research-based insights, technical inputs and policy-level support to ensure effective execution of these programmes.

Sundaram said the collaboration would help bridge the gap between skill development and industry needs. He added that structured training and capacity-building efforts under the partnership would prepare young people in Uttar Pradesh for emerging roles in the fast-growing digital services sector.

Fernandes said Hinduja Global Solutions is focused on driving digital transformation and recognises the need for skills to keep pace with evolving technologies. He noted that partnerships with state institutions such as this would support the broader digital ecosystem in India while strengthening youth employability.

The Uttar Pradesh Employment Department will facilitate coordination among various stakeholders and institutions to ensure smooth implementation.

The initiative will also explore the use of digital connectivity platforms, technology-enabled learning modules and industry partnerships to create a future-ready talent pool aligned with the needs of the digital economy
