India Nippon Electricals Ltd (INEL) has outlined six focus areas as part of its future growth strategy, centred on expanding its core business and building capabilities in emerging technologies.
The company, a manufacturer of electronic ignition systems for electric vehicles, two-wheelers, three-wheelers and portable engines, operates three manufacturing facilities and a technology centre across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Haryana.
INEL in an investor presentation said it will continue to capitalise on its core business, while entering new technical partnerships, expanding its EV portfolio, strengthening the aftermarket segment, exploring new geographies and identifying new business lines.
As part of this strategy, the company is introducing new products for two- and three-wheelers and has recently entered into a technical licensing partnership with a global automotive supplier for electronic fuel injection (EFI) control units. This will enable it to enter the EFI systems segment and cater to a wider customer base.
The company added that its new R&D centre and talent pool will support the development of differentiated products and technologies for electric vehicles. It is also strengthening its product range and distribution network, while exploring new applications for its electronic solutions.
On the financial front, the company reported stable performance supported by demand from the two- and three-wheeler segments, while continuing to invest in new product development and technology capabilities. It said a calibrated approach to capital expenditure, focus on cost optimisation and expansion into higher-value products are expected to support margins and drive growth over the medium term.
