NTPC Signs MoU With Octopus Energy For Clean Energy, EV & Infra

NTPC Ltd, a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking,  signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UK-based Octopus Energy Group, a leader in clean energy and digital energy platforms, to explore strategic collaboration across the power and energy sector.

The MoU was signed by NTPC Head International Business Development Jatinder Singh Chandok and Octopus Energy Group Director International Affairs Chris Fitzgerald on the side lines of Bharat Electricity Summit 2026, being held under the aegis of Ministry of Power.

The non-binding MoU aims to create a strategic framework to identifying, assessing, and pursuing opportunities in electricity distribution and retail, renewable energy and storage, electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, digital energy platforms, innovation, research & development and capacity building.

The partnership will initially focus on projects in India and the United Kingdom, with potential expansion into other mutually agreed geographies. It emphasises enhancing efficiency, affordability, reliability, and accelerating the adoption of clean energy technologies globally.
