Leisure hospitality firm Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd (MHRIL) has strengthened its presence in western and central India with the launch of two new resorts in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, adding 159 keys to its portfolio.
Expanding into emerging destinations:
The properties, Club Mahindra Amba Ghat and Club Mahindra Bandhavgarh, reflect the company’s strategy of developing emerging leisure destinations and expanding beyond established tourist circuits.
Riding on sustained demand for leisure travel, the company is pursuing a capital-efficient, asset-light model through greenfield projects, management contracts and other flexible formats. The additions align with its plan to scale up to 12,000 keys by FY30.
Focus on nature-led experiences:
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Manoj Bhat said destinations such as Amba Ghat and Bandhavgarh mirror the growing preference for immersive, nature-led experiences.
He added that the company remains focused on expanding high-quality inventory across locations while delivering family-centric holiday experiences.
Amba Ghat, a mountain pass in the Sahyadri ranges along the Kolhapur–Ratnagiri route, is emerging as a tranquil hill destination. The 96-key resort will offer river-facing apartments along the Kadvi River.
Wildlife-led tourism appeal:
Bandhavgarh, located in the Vindhya Hills, is home to the renowned Bandhavgarh National Park, known for its high density of Bengal tigers. The 63-key resort is designed to offer an immersive wilderness experience with uninterrupted forest views.
