Valeo, a global technology company focused on innovative automotive solutions, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art manufacturing line for electric powertrain systems at its Pune facility.
Partnership with Mahindra’s Born Electric platform
The company has been selected by Mahindra & Mahindra to supply electric powertrain systems for its upcoming Born Electric platform.
The Pune facility will manufacture advanced 3-in-1 e-Axles, integrating the motor, inverter, and reducer into a compact and efficient system designed for next-generation electric vehicles.
Advanced e-Axle technology
Developed and manufactured in India, the new e-Axle delivers high efficiency, optimized performance, and enhanced reliability. The integrated system leverages the latest iteration of Valeo’s motor technology, enabling improved performance standards for electric mobility.

High-tech manufacturing infrastructure
Located in Lonikand, Pune, the facility is equipped with advanced manufacturing capabilities designed to ensure precision, efficiency and quality.
It includes automated lines for U-pin (hairpin) winding stator assembly, reducer assembly, inverter manufacturing, and final e-Axle assembly. These processes are supported by advanced automation, rigorous quality control systems, full digitalisation, and end-to-end traceability.
