BEL Reports 16% Rise In Revenue; Order Book Swells To ₹74,000 Cr

Navratna defence PSU Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) reported a turnover of around ₹26,750 crore for FY26, compared to ₹23,024 crore in the previous financial year, registering a growth of 16.2%.

The company’s export performance remained robust, with overseas sales of approximately $141.9 million during FY26, up from $106.17 million in FY25, reflecting a growth of 33.65%.

Order inflows remain robust across segments

During FY26, BEL secured orders worth ₹30,000 crore, including export orders valued at $346 million, highlighting sustained demand across defence and non-defence segments.

Key defence orders strengthen core portfolio

Major defence orders during the year included avionics for LCA, mountain radars, electronic warfare (EW) suites for helicopters, air defence radars, EOIR payloads for airborne and naval platforms, EW systems for naval platforms, fire control and sighting systems for tanks, mobile communication terminals, network systems, counter-unmanned aerial systems, along with upgrades, spares, and services.

Non-defence and export segments gain momentum

In the non-defence segment, key orders comprised communication equipment, IT infrastructure for AIIMS, airport surveillance radars, software solutions, automatic train supervision systems, and electronic voting machines (EVMs).

On the export front, major orders included communication equipment, satellite communication networks, TR modules, electronic fuzes, and drones.

Order book provides strong growth visibility

With these additions, BEL’s total order book stood at around ₹74,000 crore as of April 1, 2026, including an export order book of approximately $495 million, providing strong revenue visibility for the coming years.

Focus on self-reliance and capability building

“The geopolitical developments during the year, particularly the ongoing conflict in West Asia, have highlighted the need for self-reliance in strategic sectors and the importance of a resilient domestic defence industrial ecosystem.  The company continues to focus on indigenisation by reducing dependence on imports and strengthening domestic supply chains,” said BEL chairman & MD, Manoj Jain.
