JSW MG Motor India reported a 19% year-on-year (YoY) growth in March 2026, with wholesale volumes reaching 6,528 units compared to the same month last year.
The growth reflects sustained momentum across both its internal combustion engine (ICE) and new energy vehicle (NEV) portfolios, indicating balanced demand across segments.
Price hike announced amid rising input costs
In response to evolving market dynamics and rising input costs, the company has announced a price increase of up to 2% across its MG portfolio, effective April 1, 2026.
Additionally, prices for the MG SELECT portfolio, including flagship models such as the MG Cyberster and MG M9, will be increased by up to 7% from the same date. The revision aims to partially offset the impact of continued cost pressures.
Non-metro markets drive EV growth
The company recently highlighted a significant shift in the electric vehicle (EV) landscape, with non-metro markets emerging as key growth drivers.
Its flagship EV offering, the Windsor, is leading this transition, with nearly 70% of its total sales coming from non-metro cities, signalling a notable change in consumer perception and adoption patterns.
e-Hub App strengthens charging ecosystem
JSW MG Motor India previously said that its e-Hub by MG app has become the country’s largest unified EV charging platform, now listing over 22,500 charging points nationwide.
The platform integrates 40 leading charge point operators (CPOs), including Jio-bp, Tata Power, Adani Total Gas, Shell India, Zeon Charging, Charge Zone, and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. By consolidating multiple operators into a single interface, the app aims to reduce fragmentation and enhance accessibility within India’s rapidly expanding EV charging ecosystem.
