Suzuki Motorcycle India Hits Record 14.39 Lakh Sales In FY26, Up 15%

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL), the two-wheeler arm of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan closed FY26 on a strong note, reporting its highest-ever annual sales of 14.39 lakh units. This marks a robust 15% year-on-year growth compared to 12.56 lakh units sold in FY25, underscoring sustained momentum across key markets.

Domestic growth anchors performance

The company’s domestic sales rose to 11.74 lakh units in FY26, up from 10.45 lakh units in the previous financial year, reflecting a healthy 12% increase. The steady growth highlights strong demand across segments and continued customer preference for Suzuki’s offerings in the Indian market.

Exports surge on global demand

Exports emerged as a key growth driver, rising sharply by 26% to 2.64 lakh units in FY26, compared to 2.10 lakh units in FY25. The strong export performance signals SMIPL’s expanding footprint and growing acceptance in international markets.

March 2026 sales show steady momentum

In March 2026, SMIPL reported total sales of 1.28 lakh units, registering a modest 2% growth over 1.26 lakh units in the same month last year.

Domestic retail sales stood at 1.08 lakh units, up 11% from 98,176 units in March 2025, while exports increased to 22,830 units

FY26 a landmark year

SMIPL vice president, sales & marketing Deepak Mutreja said FY26 has been a landmark year for the company, driven by strong customer trust and consistent efforts by dealer partners and teams nationwide. He noted that the encouraging export performance reinforces Suzuki’s growing global relevance and added that the company will continue focusing on delivering products aligned with evolving customer aspirations.

Key Milestones in FY26

During the year, SMIPL achieved several strategic and operational milestones. The company crossed the significant mark of over 10 million cumulative production in India, highlighting long-term brand trust and manufacturing strength.

It also marked its entry into electric mobility with the launch of the Suzuki e-ACCESS, its first electric scooter, signalling a shift towards future-ready mobility solutions.

To support future growth, SMIPL laid the foundation stone for a new manufacturing facility in Kharkhoda, Haryana, aimed at expanding production capacity.

On the product front, the company strengthened its portfolio with updates such as the Suzuki Access with ABS and the Suzuki Access Ride Connect TFT Edition.

Additionally, SMIPL expanded its nationwide footprint to 1,240 outlets, achieving presence across all states in India.
