Toyota Kirloskar Motor Records 4.06 Lakh Unit Sales In FY26; Grows 20%

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) reported total sales of 4.06 lakh units in FY26, registering a 20% growth compared to 3.37 lakh units in FY25.

The growth reflects strong customer confidence, a well-balanced product portfolio, and Toyota’s continued focus on future-ready mobility solutions.

Robust March performance

The company closed the fiscal year on a strong note, reporting 37,194 units in March 2026, compared to 30,043 units in March 2025, marking a 24% year-on-year growth.

Sustained demand across key segments

TKM executive vice president, sales, Sabari Manohar said the company delivered a positive performance driven by sustained demand across SUV, MPV, and compact segments.

He noted that the introduction of new products and customer-centric initiatives has helped position Toyota as a dynamic, technology-driven, and youth-oriented brand, reinforcing trust in its quality, reliability, and ownership experience.

He also acknowledged the support of customers, dealer partners, government and other stakeholders in sustaining this growth momentum.

Focus on future mobility

The company remains focused on strengthening its product and technology offerings through a multi-pathway approach, including hybrid and electrified vehicle technologies.

Looking ahead, Toyota aims to create long-term value while continuously enhancing every touchpoint across the customer ownership journey.

Key growth drivers in FY26

TKM strengthened its portfolio with multiple launches and updates, including the Land Cruiser 300, GR-S grade, Legender MT grade, and special editions such as Innova Hycross Limited Edition, Fortuner Leader Edition, Camry Hybrid Sprint Edition, and Hilux Black Edition.

Additional updates, including the Urban Cruiser Taisor in a new Bluish Black colour and the Fortuner and Legender Neo Drive variants, further enhanced customer engagement.

Enhanced features and technology

The launch of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder Aero Edition, featuring exclusive styling elements such as front and rear spoilers and side skirts, improved its appeal.

Further enhancements, including a Tech Package for the Hyryder, the introduction of a 6-speed automatic transmission (6AT) in the AWD variant, and the addition of an electronic parking brake in Neo Drive AT variants, contributed to stronger market traction.

Focus on safety and trust

Toyota reinforced its commitment to safety with the launch of the new Rumion featuring six airbags as standard across all variants.

Additionally, six airbags were standardised across models such as Glanza, Urban Cruiser Taisor, and Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

The Innova Hycross achieving a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating further strengthened customer trust and supported sustained growth.
