VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, has achieved its highest-ever annual sales, surpassing the 1 lakh vehicle milestone in FY26.

This landmark performance reflects the realisation of a key vision set at the inception of the Volvo–Eicher partnership and underlines the company’s strong growth momentum in India’s commercial vehicle industry.

Balanced growth across segments

VECV’s growth was driven by robust demand across segments, with its light and medium duty (LMD) truck portfolio leading volumes at 47,789 units, accounting for 46.1% of total sales. The heavy duty (HD) truck segment contributed 26,867 units (25.9%), while the bus segment added 19,363 units (18.7%), highlighting a well-diversified and resilient business model.

The milestone has been achieved on the back of VECV’s comprehensive product portfolio, which caters to a wide range of applications. The company’s continued focus on best-in-class fuel efficiency, superior uptime, and customer-centric solutions has strengthened its value proposition among fleet operators and transporters.

Strong JV legacy driving transformation

Since its inception in 2008, VECV has played a transformative role in the commercial vehicle ecosystem by combining Volvo Group’s global leadership in advanced technology with Eicher Motors’ deep understanding of Indian market dynamics.
