EKA Mobility, a leading electric vehicles and technology company, reported an exceptional 5X year-on-year volume growth in FY 26.
The company sold 1,143 units and produced 1,344 electric commercial vehicles during the fiscal, driven by its widest and most comprehensive EV portfolio across segments. During the year, EKA Mobility entered the medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) truck segment, complementing its existing presence in buses and small commercial vehicles (SCVs).
The company is also a champion OEM under the Automotive Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme and has achieved PLI certification across multiple platforms.
Positioned as a full-stack EV company

Strong momentum across segments
EKA Mobility strengthened its position in the electric bus segment by securing landmark wins under national programmes such as PM e-Bus Sewa and PM E-DRIVE.
The company has deployed vehicles across more than 15 states, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, and Delhi.
SCV segment sees breakout year
The SCV segment witnessed strong market acceptance, led by newly launched 3S and 6S passenger vehicles, along with 3W cargo platforms.
The company saw rapid adoption in last-mile and intra-city mobility segments, positioning SCVs as a key growth driver.
Electric trucks emerge as new growth engine
EKA Mobility’s entry into the heavy-duty electric truck segment significantly contributed to its FY26 growth.
This move expands the company’s footprint in long-haul transportation and logistics electrification, opening up new revenue streams.
Hydrogen mobility initiatives
The company deployed a 9-metre hydrogen fuel cell bus at Cochin International Airport, developed in collaboration with KPIT Technologies and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited.
EKA Mobility plans to deploy 15 more hydrogen fuel cell buses in the coming months, signalling its commitment to alternative clean energy technologies.
Global expansion plans
The company has commenced electric bus deployments in Africa and entered into a strategic agreement with Kerchanshe Group for CKD assembly and distribution across the continent.
Additionally, it has partnered with NBFI Capital to manufacture electric buses in Australia.
Manufacturing scale-up
EKA Mobility currently operates two manufacturing facilities in Pune, with plans to operationalise new plants in Pithampur and across Madhya Pradesh shortly.
The company’s total planned annual production capacity stands at 10,000 buses, 6,000 trucks, and 24,000 SCVs. It also boasts one of India’s largest commercial EV R&D teams.
Retail network expansion & order book
EKA Mobility has significantly expanded its dealership network and plans to open 120 additional dealerships in FY27 across Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 cities nationwide.
The company currently has a strong order book of 6,000 confirmed e-buses, scheduled for delivery over the next two years.
