Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL) has launched the new Burgman Street in India, building on the strong legacy and market presence of its first-generation model. The updated scooter is priced starting at ₹1.01 lakh (ex-showroom).

Second-generation upgrade with premium focus

The second-generation Burgman Street introduces a comprehensive set of upgrades across design, performance, and features. With an evolved overall vehicle concept, the scooter delivers a fresher, more refined, and premium riding experience in the luxury scooter segment.

Strong market legacy since 2018

Since its introduction in 2018, the Burgman Street has steadily emerged as one of the fastest-growing models in the 125cc scooter segment.

Over the years, the scooter has appealed to a wide spectrum of riders—from style-conscious customers attracted to its distinctive design to practicality-focused users who value its comfort, acceleration, and overall performance.

Variants and connectivity options

The new Burgman Street is offered in two variants, Burgman Street Ride Connect Edition and Burgman Street Ride Connect TFT Edition, catering to customers seeking enhanced connectivity and digital interface features.

Refined design and enhanced comfort

SMIPL MD Kenichi Umeda said, “When we launched the Burgman Street in India, it created a distinct space for itself in the luxury scooter segment. Over the years, it has received an encouraging response, with sales doubling over the past three years. We have seen that Burgman Street owners take pride in owning something different. Building on this insight, our engineers have developed the second generation with a focus on refined design, enhanced comfort, and a more premium riding experience.”

Enhanced ride dynamics and comfort

Designed for urban comfort and performance, the new Burgman Street features a lightweight yet rigid frame that improves handling and manoeuvrability. The tuned suspension setup and long wheelbase ensure better stability, while the Combined Brake System enhances braking balance.

The scooter continues to offer a spacious riding experience, with a long, well-padded seat, flexible floorboard, and dedicated front footboards, reinforcing its practicality alongside premium appeal.

Sleek modern design language

The new Burgman Street adopts a “Sleek Modern” design philosophy, blending sharp styling with elegant contours. The curvaceous bodywork is accentuated by bold character lines, creating a distinctive and premium road presence.

Enhancing its visual appeal are body-mounted split-lens LED headlights with integrated position lights, complemented by compact LED turn indicators and an updated LED rear combination light. Metallic-finish emblems, a dark smoked windscreen, and a stylish upswept muffler further elevate the scooter’s premium character.

Modified engine and performance

The scooter is powered by Suzuki’s Eco Performance (SEP) engine platform, derived from the trusted Suzuki Access 125 engine. It delivers reliability, smooth acceleration, and fuel efficiency.

The updated 124cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled SOHC engine produces 6.2 kW of power and 10.2 Nm of torque. Tuned for stronger low- to mid-range performance, it ensures smooth, responsive, and refined riding in everyday urban conditions.
