Brigade Group Tie Up With Hyatt For Hotel, Serviced Apartments In South

CW Bureau ·

Leading realtor developer Brigade Enterprises has entered into management agreements with Hyatt Hotels Corporation for two hospitality projects. The deals cover a beachfront hotel on Chennai’s East Coast Road and a serviced apartment complex in Devanahalli, Bengaluru.

The agreements mark Brigade Group’s first partnership with Hyatt, adding the American hospitality giant to its existing operator roster of Marriott, Accor and InterContinental Hotels Group.

Grand Hyatt on Chennai’s beachfront

Brigade Hotel Ventures Ltd (BHVL), a subsidiary of Brigade Enterprises, signed the pact for a 200-key Grand Hyatt Chennai ECR. The property, located on the southeastern coastline, is slated to open in 2029.

The hotel will cater to premium leisure and business travellers, with a focused thrust on MICE, weddings and staycations.

Hyatt House To serve Devanahalli’s growing tech corridor

BCV Developers Pvt Ltd, another Brigade group entity, signed for a 135-unit Hyatt House Bengaluru Devanahalli, targeting a 2027 opening. It is located about 20 minutes from Kempegowda International Airport.

Brigade Moves Up The Brand Ladder

BHVL currently operates nine hotels totalling 1,604 keys across Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Mysuru and GIFT City, spanning upper upscale to midscale segments.

Grand Hyatt’s global MICE equity and Hyatt House’s extended-stay positioning fill gaps that Brigade’s current operator mix has left open.

In Their Own Words

BHVL Managing Director Nirupa Shankar said: “This will be our first hotel with Hyatt, and we are confident in Hyatt’s global expertise in managing large-format MICE hotels. Brigade is committed to building landmark hospitality assets, and Grand Hyatt Chennai ECR is a significant step in that journey.”

BCV Developers Pvt Ltd said Director Amar Mysore said: “The Hyatt House brand is a perfect fit for the Devanahalli locality, addressing the needs of today’s business and leisure travellers. We are confident this hotel will set a new standard for extended stay hospitality in the region.”

Hyatt Vice President of Development, India & Southwest Asia, Dhruva Rathore said: “Chennai and Bengaluru are dynamic markets with strong demand for hospitality, and these landmark developments align with Hyatt’s strategic vision of expanding our brand presence in key leisure and business destinations across India.”
