Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd (SAVWIPL) has announced the start of production of the new Volkswagen Taigun at its plant in Pune. The new Taigun combines high levels of localisation, precision manufacturing and a deeper on-ground understanding of Indian customers.

Production scale and exports
Over 143,000 units of the Volkswagen Taigun have already been produced in India, with around 30 percent of total production exported to markets around the globe.
With production now underway, the new Volkswagen Taigun is set to further strengthen the brand’s SUV portfolio with a fresh offering that blends design, practicality, comfort, and performance.
