Hinduja flagship Ashok Leyland has launched twin fuel variants of its popular light commercial vehicles, Dost and Dost+ XL, marking a step forward in flexible and sustainable mobility. The twin fuel Dost is priced at ₹8.20 lakh, while the Dost+ XL starts at ₹8.75 lakh (both ex-showroom).
Addressing range anxiety with flexibility
The newly launched models feature advanced twin fuel technology, enabling seamless switching between compressed natural gas (CNG) and petrol.
This dual-fuel capability addresses a key concern among CNG users, range anxiety and limited fuel availability, by allowing uninterrupted journeys and greater operational flexibility across routes.
Performance and payload advantage
The twin fuel Dost offers a payload capacity of 1218 kg and a driving range of up to 400 km, supported by a 120-litre CNG tank and a 5-litre petrol tank for backup.
The Dost+ XL variant delivers a higher payload of 1410 kg, along with a 148-litre CNG tank and an additional 5-litre petrol capacity, enabling a range of up to 500 km. The enhanced specifications are aimed at improving earning potential for operators.
