Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd, a leading renewable engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company, has emerged as the L1 bidder in a tender floated by Coal India Ltd for a turnkey EPC package to develop an 875 MW (AC) grid-connected solar PV project in Bikaner.
The total contract value, including operations and maintenance (O&M) and taxes, is ₹3,490 crore. The company has also secured an additional order for a 50 MW (AC) project in Maharashtra from a private independent power producer (IPP).
Order inflow crosses ₹10,000 crore
With these wins, the company’s EPC order inflow for FY26 has crossed ₹10,062 crore, exceeding its initial guidance for the year.
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy, Global Chief Executive Officer Chandra Kishore Thakur, said the Coal India project marks the company’s first engagement with the state-run miner and reflects its participation in India’s renewable energy expansion.
He said the company has closed FY26 on a strong note with order inflows exceeding ₹10,000 crore, significantly above its earlier target, and expects to sustain growth momentum amid continued expansion in India’s renewable energy sector.
Business profile
The company provides EPC services across utility-scale solar, floating solar, hybrid and energy storage, as well as wind solutions, with a total portfolio exceeding 26.1 GWp, including commissioned and under-construction projects.
It also manages an operations and maintenance portfolio of 10.1 GWp of solar projects, including assets built for third parties.
