Tim Cook is stepping down after 15 years at the helm of Apple, a brand that has remained at the centre of global tech conversations. Announcing the transition, Cook described John Ternus as “a brilliant engineer and thinker” who has spent 25 years building Apple’s products. He emphasised Ternus’s attention to detail and commitment to innovation, calling him “the perfect person for the job.”
Cook added that Ternus possesses the integrity and vision required to lead Apple into its next phase, expressing confidence that the company will scale new heights under his leadership.
A message of gratitude, not goodbye
Clarifying that this is not a farewell, Cook used the moment to thank Apple’s users personally. Reflecting on his journey from humble beginnings to leading one of the world’s most influential companies, he acknowledged the trust and support he has received over the years.
