Chalet Hotels Ltd (CHL) has marked its entry into Udaipur with the acquisition of 144-key Seasons Hotels Pvt Ltd for a total consideration of ₹171 crore, with plans to upgrade the asset into an upper upscale or premium lifestyle destination.
The acquisition aligns with CHL’s strategy of disciplined expansion in high-growth leisure markets, focusing on asset enhancement, premium positioning and long-term value creation.
Asset upgrade, expansion plans
Seasons Hotels owns Inder Residency Resort & Spa in Udaipur, spread across 8.2 acres, featuring 144 rooms along with large lawns and banqueting facilities suited for weddings, MICE and leisure travel.
The property will undergo refurbishment and repositioning, during which it will remain non-operational. CHL will also evaluate the potential for expansion, including addition of rooms.

He said the property offers significant headroom for value creation through refurbishment, repositioning and expansion, with an emphasis on building an experience-led premium destination.
