TIME, in partnership with Reliance Industries Ltd will launch TIME100 Next India, a new edition of its global franchise recognising emerging Indian leaders shaping the future across sectors.
The announcement was made at the annual TIME100 Gala in New York by TIME, Chief Executive Officer Jessica Sibley, and Nita Mukesh Ambani, Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation.
First global expansion
The TIME100 Next India list will be curated by TIME editors and will recognise 100 emerging leaders from India and the diaspora across fields including arts, science, business, sports and advocacy.
The list will be published online and celebrated at a dedicated TIME100 Next India Gala at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in December 2026.

TIME, Chief Executive Officer Jessica Sibley, said the initiative reflects the organisation’s commitment to recognising the next generation of leaders driving global progress, while acknowledging Reliance’s role in enabling the launch.
Reliance Foundation, Founder & Chairperson Nita M. Ambani, said the partnership aligns with the group’s vision of empowering talent and showcasing India’s leadership potential on a global stage.
TIME, Chief Strategy Officer & Executive Editor Dan Macsai, who oversees the TIME100 franchise, said expanding the platform to India will highlight an extraordinary generation of emerging leaders at a pivotal moment.
Global franchise expansion
The launch marks the first international iteration of the TIME100 Next franchise and builds on TIME’s expanding global events platform. Since 2021, the organisation has hosted TIME100 Impact Awards events across multiple continents.
