Sigma Secures ₹3,800-Cr Order From Rolls-Royce For Aerospace Systems

CW Bureau ·

Sigma Advanced Systems, an integrated aerospace and defence company, has signed a seven-year long-term agreement with Rolls-Royce, marking a decisive step forward in its global aerospace journey.

Strategic tie-up strengthens global positioning

The agreement deepens Sigma’s relationship with one of the world’s most respected aerospace OEMs, placing the company closer to the core of critical global engineering programmes.

£300 million deal ensures revenue visibility

Valued at nearly £300 million (around ₹3,800 crore), the contract provides long-term revenue visibility and strengthens the company’s growth outlook over the next seven years.

Programme-level partnership across India–UK network

Under the agreement, Sigma Advanced Systems will supply a wide portfolio of high-precision, safety-critical components and assemblies for Rolls-Royce’s aerospace programmes. The partnership is structured at a programme level and will be delivered through the company’s integrated manufacturing network spanning India and the UK—underscoring its evolution into a global platform rather than a location-specific supplier.

India–UK dual model powers scale and collaboration

The partnership builds on an existing relationship and reflects continued confidence in Sigma’s capabilities. Leveraging its dual-source model, the company combines cost-efficient manufacturing scale in India with proximity-led engineering collaboration and programme alignment in the UK. This further cements its transition from a systems player to an integrated manufacturing partner capable of handling larger, complex work packages.

Opportunity to deepen Sigma’s role in global aerospace programmes

Sigma Advanced Systems CEO Sunil Kumar Kalidindi said: “This partnership with Rolls-Royce reflects how our strategy is taking shape. It validates the investments we have made in building a connected India–UK platform and our focus on quality, reliability, and long-term partnerships. We see this as an opportunity to deepen our role in global aerospace programmes while continuing to scale our capabilities across both regions. We sincerely thank Rolls-Royce for the trust it has placed in us by awarding this long-term agreement.”

Moving closer to the core of aerospace supply chains

As Sigma expands its global footprint, agreements like this signal a broader strategic shift. The company is steadily moving closer to the core of the aerospace supply chain, taking on larger and more complex roles in programmes that demand both scale and precision.
