TCS And Siemens Energy AG Seal AI Deal To Drive Intelligent Operations

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has signed two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with Siemens Energy AG and Siemens Energy India Ltd, strengthening their strategic collaboration across IT services, industrial AI, data centres, and emerging technologies.

The expanded partnership aims to drive innovation, operational resilience, and sustainable growth in energy technology, with a sharp focus on AI-led industrial transformation and next-generation digital infrastructure.

By combining TCS’ strengths in AI, data, and engineering with Siemens Energy’s expertise in power generation, electrification, and grid technologies, the alliance will enable intelligent operations and accelerate the development of advanced energy solutions.

India focus: powering AI-ready data centres

As part of the collaboration, Siemens Energy India will support TCS’ HyperVault business to address the growing and complex energy requirements of AI-ready data centres in India, a segment witnessing rapid demand alongside the expansion of digital infrastructure.

Key pillars of collaboration
TCS will continue as a preferred IT partner to Siemens Energy AG, supporting the development of an agile, secure, and cost-optimised digital backbone, with a focus on operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

AI and factory modernisation
Siemens Energy AG will leverage TCS’ industrial AI capabilities, including digital twins, predictive analytics, smart manufacturing, and tighter integration between operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT). These initiatives are expected to enhance productivity, operational visibility, and manufacturing performance at a global scale.

AI infrastructure development
Siemens Energy India will support HyperVault’s AI infrastructure build-out in India across power generation, electrification systems, grid technologies, digital solutions, and software platforms.

Leadership speak

Siemens Energy AG President and CEO Christian Bruch said the partnership will help translate digital infrastructure innovation into scalable impact, adding that India remains a key market in the company’s global growth strategy.

TCS MD & CEO Krithivasan said the collaboration brings together deep industry expertise and TCS’ strengths in AI and engineering to build resilient digital foundations and intelligent, data-driven operations across factories and enterprises.

Siemens Energy India MD & CEO Guilherme Mendonça said the partnership will enable reliable, low-carbon power infrastructure for the next generation of AI-driven data centres.

Building on a long-standing partnership

The agreements build on a relationship spanning over two decades between TCS and Siemens Energy AG. As a preferred technology partner, TCS will support Siemens Energy in moving from AI prototyping to enterprise-wide value realisation by embedding advanced analytics, GenAI, and intelligent automation into core operations.

With continued investments in digital engineering, AI platforms, global talent, and ecosystem collaboration, the partnership is expected to accelerate transformation, strengthen resilience, and unlock new efficiencies and growth opportunities.
