Yulu Sets Eyes On Bhopal’s Growing Delivery Economy With EV Rollout

CW Bureau ·

Yulu, India’s largest shared electric vehicle mobility technology company, has launched its franchisee-led service in Bhopal under the Yulu Business Partner (YBP) initiative.

The service has been rolled out in partnership with Tezz Mobility, led by first-generation entrepreneurs Dharamveer Singh Bhadoriya and Siddharth Jain.

The launch marks Yulu’s expansion into Central India and brings the company’s hyperlocal electric mobility ecosystem to Bhopal. It is also the ninth partner-led rollout under the YBP initiative following launches in Indore, Kochi, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Vadodara, Kolkata, Chandigarh Tri-city and Coimbatore.

Focus on delivery demand zones
In the first phase, Yulu and Tezz Mobility will focus operations on high-density delivery demand areas such as Shahpura before gradually expanding to Hoshangabad Road, New Market, TT Nagar, Kolar Road, Habibganj and surrounding locations.

The company aims to cater to the growing delivery and gig economy ecosystem in the city through sustainable and technology-driven mobility solutions.

Building a logistics mobility ecosystem
Yulu Co-founder & CEO Amit Gupta said, “Bhopal represents a strong market opportunity characterised by rising delivery demand and a thriving gig economy. With more than 45 dark stores and growing food delivery activity, the market has room for nearly 8,000 delivery riders.”

He added, “Through our partnership with Tezz Mobility, Yulu is building a scalable, tech-driven logistics backbone to cater to this demand. Yulu’s proven mobility stack and segment expertise, combined with Dharamveer and Siddharth’s operational capabilities, will accelerate Bhopal’s transition towards a more efficient, sustainable and future-ready mobility ecosystem.”

Franchisee model gains traction
Tezz Mobility Co-promoter Dharamveer Singh Bhadoriya said the company’s earlier experience as a supplier to leading quick commerce platforms provided insights into the operational challenges faced by delivery ecosystems.

“With Yulu’s platform, we are bringing a proven end-to-end solution that enables delivery partners in Bhopal to access reliable, affordable and sustainable mobility while helping aggregators meet their EV commitments from day one,” he said.

Tezz Mobility Co-promoter Siddharth Jain said Yulu’s full-stack platform, brand strength and aggregator partnerships enabled the company to significantly reduce its operational build time.

“The Tezz team is excited to transform Bhopal’s mobility landscape. The longer-term vision is to make Bhopal a reference model for every subsequent city,” he added.

Expansion plans underway
To support the launch, Yulu conducted training, assessment and onboarding programmes for Tezz Mobility’s ground teams and facilitated engagements with strategic enterprise partners.

Going forward, Tezz Mobility plans to scale its fleet to more than 1,000 EVs over the next two to three years while expanding operations across Bhopal and other high-potential cities in north and west India.
