TVS Motor Company has strengthened its premium motorcycle portfolio in Sri Lanka with the launch of the top variant of Ronin, signalling the company’s growing focus on lifestyle-led mobility products in international markets.
The new variant of the modern-retro motorcycle has been introduced in two fresh colour options, Nimbus Grey and Midnight Blue, as TVS Motor looks to tap into rising demand for premium and aspirational two-wheelers among younger riders in Sri Lanka.
The launch also underlines the company’s strategy to move beyond utility-focused offerings and strengthen its positioning in the higher-value motorcycle segment.
Modern-retro positioning gains traction
Ronin has been positioned as a lifestyle-oriented motorcycle aimed at riders seeking individuality and a differentiated riding experience.
Powered by a 225.9 cc oil-cooled engine, the motorcycle delivers 20.4 PS power and 19.93 Nm torque, while features such as 41 mm upside-down front forks, mono-shock rear suspension and dual-channel ABS are aimed at enhancing ride comfort and safety.
The motorcycle also comes equipped with SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity offering turn-by-turn navigation, voice assist and call alerts, reflecting the increasing integration of connected technologies into premium motorcycles.
With all-LED lighting, distinctive styling and premium graphics, TVS is attempting to carve out a stronger presence in the growing modern-retro segment.
Sri Lanka remains strategic market
TVS Motor Company President, International Business, Peyman Kargar said Sri Lanka continues to remain a key overseas market for the company.
He said the launch reinforces TVS Motor’s commitment to bringing premium and lifestyle-driven products to international consumers while deepening engagement with younger riders aligned to the brand’s “unscripted” philosophy.
The company believes the premium motorcycle category in Sri Lanka is gradually evolving as consumers increasingly seek products that combine design, technology and personal expression.
Premiumisation strategy underway
TVS Lanka Pvt Ltd CEO Geethal Anthony said the Ronin introduces a differentiated proposition to the country’s premium motorcycle market and could contribute to broader premiumisation trends within Sri Lanka’s two-wheeler industry.
The launch event itself was designed as a brand-led experiential activity, with media and motorcycling enthusiasts participating in a curated “Ronin Ride” from Colombo to the historic Galle Fort.
TVS Motor currently offers a broad product portfolio in Sri Lanka spanning motorcycles, scooters and electric mobility products including Raider, NTORQ, Jupiter, iQube, XL100 and King Deluxe Plus.
Ronin top variant has been introduced at an introductory price of LKR 1.499 million ex-showroom in Sri Lanka.
