Hilton, a global hospitality company, has strengthened its presence in Hyderabad by signing a 96-key Hilton Garden Inn Hyderabad Kompally, expected to open in 2028.
The hotel, Hilton’s third property in Hyderabad and its first Hilton Garden Inn in the city, will be developed by Fairmount and Friends LLP, part of the Fairmount Group.
Hyderabad seen as key growth market
Hilton Garden Inn is Hilton’s upscale focused-service brand designed for business and leisure travellers seeking comfort and consistency.
According to Hilton, Hyderabad continues to emerge as a major commercial hub and a leading destination for IT, life sciences and Global Capability Centres, making it a strategic growth market for the company.
Focused-service expansion gains pace
Hilton, Senior Vice President, Development, Asia Pacific, Clarence Tan, said focused-service brands such as Hilton Garden Inn play a critical role in expanding Hilton’s India portfolio.
“As Hilton continues to expand across India, our focused service brands like Hilton Garden Inn play a critical role in scaling our portfolio across the country, where we’re on track to grow from 40 trading hotels to over 400 in the years to come,” he said.
First focused-service hotel in Hyderabad
Hilton, Senior Vice President and Regional Head, South Asia, Zubin Saxena, said the signing marked Hilton’s first focused-service hotel in Hyderabad and further strengthened its presence across the city’s growing commercial corridors.
He said the company sees significant opportunity to cater to a wider mix of business and leisure travellers through a diversified hotel portfolio.
Hilton targets over 400 hotels
Fairmount Builders, Founder and CEO, Shahazim Hameed, said the partnership with Hilton would help address growing hospitality demand in the region.
Hilton currently has a portfolio of 107 trading and pipeline hotels across South Asia and is targeting more than 400 operating hotels in the coming years while continuing with its asset-light expansion strategy.
