L&T Technology Services Opens First Engg Intelligence CoE In Munich

L&T Technology Services Ltd, a global engineering research and development, digital and AI consulting services company, has inaugurated its first Engineering Intelligence Centre of Excellence (EI CoE) in Munich as part of its strategy to accelerate AI-led industrial transformation.

The Munich-based CoE will leverage deep-tech and embedded artificial intelligence across the engineering lifecycle to enable intelligent products, autonomous operations and next-generation manufacturing systems.

Focus on applied AI and intelligent manufacturing

By combining domain engineering expertise with technologies such as GenAI, Agentic AI, multimodal AI, Physical AI and edge intelligence, LTTS aims to help enterprises move from AI experimentation to scalable industrial deployment.

The company said it had filed more than 237 patents in AI and GenAI during FY26, reinforcing its focus on engineering intelligence and AI-led innovation.

CoE to support European industrial clients

The Munich EI CoE will function as a collaborative innovation hub for clients across mobility, industrial products, sustainability and technology sectors.

The Centre will focus on accelerating applied AI solutions, intelligent manufacturing, software-defined products, predictive operations and connected engineering ecosystems aligned with Europe’s evolving industrial priorities.

Europe presence expands

LTTS currently serves more than 60 clients across Europe and has a team of over 4,500 engineers supporting the region.

According to the company, the launch of the EI CoE will help clients accelerate outcome-driven innovation while strengthening collaboration with customers, partners and academia.

AI-led engineering transformation

LTTS Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director Amit Chadha described the inauguration of the CoE as a milestone in bringing the company’s deep-tech and Engineering Intelligence solutions closer to client R&D hubs across Europe.

“The centre will act as a focal point for innovation, R&D and new product development, redefining how products, platforms and manufacturing are engineered and optimised in the AI era,” Chadha said.
