IHCL Expands Ginger Footprint With Hotel In Hyderabad’s Genome Valley

Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) has announced the opening of a new Ginger property in Hyderabad’s Genome Valley, strengthening the brand’s presence in one of the country’s leading life sciences and biotechnology hubs.

The new Ginger hotel features 75 rooms tailored for modern business travellers and is positioned to cater to growing demand from corporate and research-driven sectors in the region.

Focus on high-growth commercial corridors
IHCL Executive Vice President, New Businesses & Hotel Openings, Deepika Rao said the midscale hospitality segment continues to witness strong momentum as corporate travellers increasingly seek efficient, accessible and contemporary accommodation options.

She noted that Ginger’s lean luxe positioning aligns with these evolving requirements and added that the launch of Ginger Hyderabad, Genome Valley reinforces IHCL’s focus on expanding the brand across key commercial corridors and high-growth micro-markets.

Located in the heart of Genome Valley, the hotel offers business-friendly amenities including meeting spaces suited for small corporate gatherings. Guests will also have access to Ginger’s signature dining brand, Qmin.

Genome Valley has emerged as a major destination for life sciences, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, housing a large cluster of global and domestic firms, research institutions and manufacturing facilities.

Part of larger southern India expansion
Terminus Group CMD S P Reddy said the region’s rapid emergence as a life sciences and innovation hub has created strong hospitality demand. He added that the new hotel marks the first of 10 Ginger hotels planned across southern India under a framework agreement.
