EKA Mobility, leading commercial electric vehicle manufacturer, has announced a rapid expansion of its authorised dealer network as the company looks to address one of the key barriers to electric vehicle adoption in India, limited access to reliable sales and service infrastructure.
EKA Mobility currently operates 60 dealerships across the country and plans to expand the network to more than 200 dealerships by next year. The company also said over 30 exclusive outlets are expected to open soon.
The company, which is a Champion OEM under the Government of India’s Auto PLI Scheme, is backed by Mitsui & Co., VDL Group, NIIF India-Japan Fund and Enam Holdings.
Focus on last-mile EV infrastructure
The expansion strategy is focused on strengthening the company’s presence across high-growth logistics corridors, urban centres and emerging Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets where commercial EV adoption is witnessing strong momentum.
EKA Mobility said the expanded retail footprint will support sectors such as e-commerce, FMCG distribution, logistics and public transport while improving access to electric commercial vehicle sales and servicing infrastructure.
The company added that each dealership is specifically designed for commercial EV servicing and will include at least two dedicated service bays, trained technical manpower and assured spare parts availability to maximise fleet uptime.
Long-term ecosystem development
The company’s focus extends beyond vehicle sales to building a dependable support ecosystem for electric mobility adoption.
EKA Mobility, Business Head & Chief Growth Officer, Rohit Srivastava, said, “ As demand for electric commercial vehicles grows, it is important that customers have easy access not just to products, but also to dependable service and long-term support. Looking ahead, we plan to scale our network to over 200 dealerships in 20+ states by FY27, further strengthening our reach across key markets, as we remain committed to making electric mobility more accessible, practical, and dependable for businesses across India.”
Broad electric vehicle portfolio
EKA Mobility said its dealerships will showcase the company’s complete ‘Born Electric’ portfolio comprising electric three-wheelers, small commercial vehicles, buses and trucks.
The company’s portfolio includes the EKA 3W Cargo electric vehicle for last-mile logistics, EKA 6S passenger electric three-wheeler, EKA 3S city mobility vehicle and the EKA 1.5T to 3.5T small commercial vehicle range designed for mid-mile logistics operations.
Its electric bus lineup includes the EKA 7M, 9M, 12M, Coach and LF variants developed for urban transit, feeder routes, hilly terrains and intercity mobility.
The truck portfolio includes the EKA 7T and 55T haulage vehicles designed for multiple cargo transportation applications.
AI-powered fleet management
All EKA Mobility vehicles are supported by EKA Connect, the company’s AI-powered fleet management platform that offers real-time tracking, predictive diagnostics and efficiency analytics for fleet operators.
The company said the platform helps businesses remotely monitor their EV fleets and optimise total cost of ownership.
Manufacturing expansion plans
EKA Mobility currently operates manufacturing facilities at Koregaon Bhima and Chakan in Pune for buses, trucks and small commercial vehicles.
The company is also developing a new 47-acre manufacturing facility at Pithampur to further enhance production capacity.
According to the company, its combined manufacturing facilities will support annual production capacity of 15,000 buses, 24,000 small commercial vehicles and 4,000 trucks, reinforcing its focus on supporting India’s electric mobility and Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.
