Lava International, leading homegrown smartphone brand, has launched the Shark 2 5G, expanding its budget 5G smartphone portfolio with a device focused on battery life, durability and clean software experience. Priced at ₹11,999, the smartphone will be available across Lava retail outlets from June 10.
Positioned as an upgrade to the brand’s highest-selling smartphone series in its 2025 portfolio, the Shark 2 5G is aimed at practical and value-conscious consumers seeking a reliable 5G experience. The smartphone will be offered in two colour variants: Sonar Gold and Arya Blue.
Focus on battery life and durability

The Shark 2 5G features a 17.13cm (6.75-inch) HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, designed to deliver smoother scrolling and viewing experiences. According to the company, the device supports up to 815 minutes of YouTube playback and up to 743 minutes of screen-on time. The smartphone also comes with IP64-rated dust and water resistance for added durability in everyday usage.
Powered by UNISOC T8200 processor
The smartphone is available in a 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, with support for an additional 4GB virtual RAM. It is powered by the octa-core 6nm UNISOC T8200 processor and has reportedly achieved an AnTuTu 11 benchmark score of over 500,000. To support extended usage, the device packs a 6000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
Clean Android 16 experience
Running on Clean Android 16, the Shark 2 5G offers a bloatware-free and ad-free software experience. On the camera front, the smartphone features a 13MP AI rear camera and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The device also supports major Indian 5G bands to enable seamless connectivity across the country.
