The Paradeep Integrated Steel Plant will be developed in phases with a planned capacity of 13.2 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). Odisha central to growth strategy

JSW Steel said the project underscores its long-term commitment to strengthening India’s manufacturing capabilities while contributing to Odisha’s industrial development.

Chairman and Managing Director Sajjan Jindal said the commencement of the Paradeep plant marks a defining moment in the company’s growth journey and reflects its confidence in India’s long-term manufacturing potential.

“This project reflects our confidence in the state’s future and our commitment to creating globally competitive manufacturing assets that contribute to India’s growth story,” he said.

The company said Odisha continues to remain central to its long-term expansion plans and the Paradeep project represents not only an investment in steelmaking capacity but also a commitment towards supporting the state’s economic progress.

Integrated infrastructure and logistics advantage

Joint Managing Director and CEO Jayant Acharya said the Paradeep facility would become a key pillar in JSW Steel’s long-term growth strategy.

“Its strategic coastal location, integrated infrastructure and access to logistics networks will enhance operational efficiencies and strengthen our ability to serve customers across domestic and global markets,” he said.

President Anil Singh said the company aims to build a world-class steel manufacturing facility that creates long-term value for both the region and the country.
